I would have never thought that I would be so into a shade of orange. It’s a staining, semi transparent color that doesn’t granulate. It’s very orange when less diluted, but when thinned down with water it has a redish almost cool quality to it.
This makes it a must have for skin tones. Its the exact color of light shining through flesh. Think of a hand over a flash light. You can see the warmth and blood under the skin.
I used pyroll orange extensively in my painting “Between Two Places”. You can see the bright warmth in the right side of the face. Its a great juxtaposition with the cooler colors (moonglow and undersea green). The brightness of the skin tone of this painting is my favorite part of it.
So go buy it. You need it!
