Been playing with watercolor on Yupo paper and it’s been so much fun! Yupo is a synthetic paper that watercolor doesn’t absorb into, which causes the paint to do all sorts of interesting things. #watercolor #watermedia #yupopaper #yupo #artsupplies #paint #art #abstractart

I hadn’t ever given much thought to which white I had been using. The middle column is 1/2 titanium white and the far right is 1/2 zinc white. —� I’m the second pic I got the same value with both zinc and titanium white. The zinc mixture is slightly brighter and is a little less opaque. #themoreyouknow🌈

Workin on my @goldenpaints homework. This one is various @qorwatercolors grounds and I’ll say that I’m really into the Light Dimensional Ground (top left) and the watercolor ground (bottom right). I want to try both of these with bigger more involved paintings.

I started this painting a few weeks ago and I'm just now coming back around to working on it.

WIP from last night. Just the hands look pretty cool. Making a mental note of that for future paintings.

Got the background on this one a few days ago. I started with a @goldenpaints heavy body wash then used fluids in one of my favorite colors - pyrrole orange + white - to put on all the squiggles. After that dried for a day or two I went back with @williamsburgoilpaints wax medium and oil paint.
